What customers usually ask us before a repair.
Do you repair machines you did not build?
Yes. IBPRINT's maintenance service is multi-brand: it covers screen printing and pad printing machines from any manufacturer, not just those it builds itself. More than 25 years of assembling, automating and repairing printing equipment make it possible to work on machines that no longer have support from the original manufacturer.
Do you service UV and DTF digital printers?
Yes. In addition to screen printing and pad printing machines, IBPRINT maintains UV and DTF digital printers: inspection and cleaning of the printheads and the ink circuit, adjustment and calibration. In inkjet printing, preventive maintenance is what prevents clogged nozzles and banding in the print.
What if the spare part is no longer made?
It gets machined. IBPRINT has its own machining workshop, so when a spare part has been discontinued the part is made instead of waiting for a supplier that may no longer supply it. That is the advantage of the company that maintains the machine also being one that builds machines.
Is the service carried out in your workshop or at my plant?
In both places, depending on what suits each fault. Some jobs are resolved at the customer's plant without moving the equipment and others go better in the Igualada workshop, especially if machining or rebuilding is needed.
What does a preventive maintenance check include?
A scheduled inspection of the mechanics, pneumatics and registration, plus replacement of any wear parts that need it. The aim is to stop problems reaching production: in industrial printing, a loss of registration caught in time costs an inspection, and caught late it costs a print run.
What do you need to know to quote for a repair?
Make, model and what the machine does or has stopped doing. With that the diagnosis can be pointed in the right direction and it can be decided whether the work is done on site or in the workshop. A photo of the machine or of the badly printed part usually saves several emails.
Do you also supply wear parts?
Yes: ink cups, doctor blades, pads, clichés, squeegee blades and clamping bars, both from leading brands and of our own manufacture. They are the consumables that are replaced with use and the ones that most affect print quality when they are neglected.
