How to choose from the catalogue

The catalogue is divided into two branches: machinery and consumables. Machinery is organised by printing process and degree of automation; consumables, by what wears out while printing. These are the criteria for finding your way through it.

Process first: screen printing or pad printing

The geometry of the part decides. A flat or regularly cylindrical surface and wide areas of colour call for screen printing, which lays down more ink and gives more opacity. Small, three-dimensional or irregular parts and fine detail call for pad printing, whose silicone pad adapts to the shape. Some parts allow both processes, and then the finish required and the production rate decide.

Then the degree of automation

Manual for prototypes and very short runs. Semi-automatic when consistency is needed on medium runs with frequent job changes: the operator loads and unloads, and the machine keeps pressure, angle and stroke speed fixed. Automatic when runs are long and changes few, where a more laborious set-up pays off in exchange for repeatability and less labour per part.

The line does not end at the printing machine

A workshop also needs something to prepare the screen or the cliché, something to cure the ink and, depending on the material, something to treat the surface. That is the auxiliary equipment: exposure units, UV or UV-LED ovens and tunnels, screen stretchers and flame, corona or plasma treatment systems. When sizing space and investment they have to be counted from the start.

Consumables decide day-to-day quality

Ink is chosen by substrate and by the resistance required, not by colour. And the wear parts (pads, clichés, doctor blades, meshes, frames, squeegee blades and clamping bars) are what explain most prints that start to fail without the machine having changed.

Why there are no prices

Because almost nothing is sold off the shelf as is: the configuration depends on the part, the number of colours, the format and the throughput. Each piece of equipment is offered on quotation, with its specific technical sheet and configuration. To guide a quotation four details are needed: which part is being decorated and what material it is made of, how many colours, the print size and how many parts per hour or per run.

Frequently asked questions

Before choosing a product family.

Pad printing vs screen printing: what is the difference?

Screen printing pushes the ink through a tensioned mesh and lays it directly onto the part: it performs on flat or cylindrical surfaces and on large areas of colour. Pad printing is indirect (a silicone pad picks up the ink from an etched cliché and transfers it, adapting to the shape), so it handles small, curved or irregular parts and fine detail.

Do you sell standalone machines or complete lines?

Both. You can buy a single benchtop machine or a complete line with feeding, printing, curing and output. IBPRINT has its own engineering and automation department, so it also designs and builds custom automation when the part or the process does not fit standard equipment.

Is the equipment built in-house or distributed?

Both coexist. IBPRINT builds machinery and automation in its Igualada workshop, and distributes inks and consumables from leading brands in the sector, which it does not manufacture.

How do I request a quotation for catalogue equipment?

From the product page or the contact page, stating which part is being decorated and what material it is made of, how many colours, the print size and the throughput required. With those details a process, machine and ink can be proposed.

Do you ship outside Spain?

Yes. IBPRINT serves the whole of Spain from its base in Igualada (Barcelona), for sales as well as technical support and consumables, and also ships machinery and consumables to France.
